UmiRoute Japan provides a marketplace platform connecting users with verified local operators for marine activities including surfing, diving, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding across Japan. We also provide marine data, safety information, and booking services.
User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of our services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Booking and Payment Terms
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the respective local operator. Prices are displayed in Japanese Yen and may be subject to change. Payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment processors.
Booking confirmations, modifications, and cancellations are governed by the specific terms of each local operator, which will be clearly displayed during the booking process.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund policies vary by operator and activity type. Weather-related cancellations typically result in full refunds or rescheduling options. User-initiated cancellations are subject to the operator's specific cancellation policy.
We will clearly display applicable cancellation terms before booking confirmation. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 5-10 business days.
Safety and Risk Acknowledgment
Marine activities involve inherent risks. By booking through our platform, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by operators. You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your participation.
All participants must meet minimum age, certification, and fitness requirements as specified for each activity. Operators reserve the right to refuse service if safety requirements are not met.
User Conduct and Responsibilities
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use our services to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content, or to interfere with the operation of our platform.
You are responsible for your own conduct and any content you submit to our platform, including reviews and communications with operators.

The UmiRoute Japan platform, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without explicit written permission.
Third-Party Operators and Services
Local operators are independent businesses. While we verify their credentials and safety standards, we are not responsible for their actions, services, or any disputes that may arise between you and the operators.
Our platform may integrate with third-party services for payments, mapping, and weather data. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UmiRoute Japan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, weather conditions, government actions, or technical failures.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
